To think that no one has been interested in K-Central, Loy Norrix for a while, and what a finish they provided fans on Thursday night. Loy Norrix was looking for their first win over the Maroon Giants and came seconds away, but after going scoreless until the last play K-Central pulled it off. Can you say rivalry renewed, look for Norrix to bounce back and win 4 games this season. I don't see the Maroon Giants winning any more than 3, great game, the only negative, no school, no pep rally, I mean come on.
How impressive was Portage Northern in a dominating performance against a good Lakeview team. Jack Livingston is great, but the Hutchins brothers are remarkable, I'm leaning towards a Husky SMAC championship after watching them play on Thursday, but a lot will be proven next Friday when the battle for Portage takes place, it scares me that Portage Central gave up 21 points to Coldwater in the second quarter int their 49 to 21 win.

Prep Picks
By J.S.
The first game I am going to pick is Three Rivers and Dowagiac. The best quarterback in Southwest Michigan, Aron Spence of Three Rivers, will throw for over 200 in a 24 to 7 win at home. I also like Vicksburg, Otsego, Paw Paw and Plainwell to come out on top to rap up the Wolverine.
The KVA game of the week pits Constantine at Olivet. look for Olivet to shut down the once powerful Constantine offense and win by an extra point 14 to 13. Schoolcraft, Pennfield, K-Christian and Maple Valley will also win their games tonight.
Crossover action continues tonight in the SMAC, the game of the week is Lakeview at Portage Northern. Huskies quarterback Jack Livingston will have a huge game spreading the ball around to his talented receiving core, and the Hutchins Brothers, and the depth and experience of Portage Northern will be to much for Lakeview, Huskies win 34 to 21. Other winers in the MAC, K-Centeral, Portage Central, Harper Creek, Benton Harbor, Lumin Christi, and Marshal.
In the SAC Crossover games the one to look at is between two teams that are 0 in 1. Bangor at Decatur. Look for Decatur to avenge a close loss a week ago, and beat Bangor 28 to 7. Other winers will be Hartford, Lawton Saugatuck, Gobles, Fennville and Marcellus.
And last of all, Climax Scotts will avenge their loss against St. Phillips from last year, beating them this year 48 to 12.
